When the VFW bar was purchased to become a bar and grill in 1997 the new owners looked into the city history for their name. They found that when prohibition ended in 1933, Stevens county was one of the first in the state to go “wet”. In short order the city of Morris had two municipal liquor stores on main street right next to each other, with the no nonsense names of No.1 and No.2
